I've spent the past several months building AI prompts for NetSuite finance work. Variance analysis. Cash flow forecasting. Month-end close. Board reporting. Audit prep. The kind of analysis that finance teams do every month, often in spreadsheets, often under time pressure, and often without a structured framework for making the output reliable.
Today I'm releasing all of that work as a single product: the NetSuite AI Prompt Library.
150 prompts. 12 categories. Every prompt built on the same professional framework.
Why I Built This
Most people who use AI with NetSuite data paste their numbers into ChatGPT or Claude and ask a question. The output is usually reasonable on the surface. It's also usually unverifiable, inconsistently formatted, and missing the context a CFO or controller needs to act on it.
I kept running into the same problems: AI would produce a variance analysis that looked right but didn't tie back to the GL. It would generate a cash flow forecast without explaining its assumptions. It would write board commentary that sounded polished but was built on numbers it made up.
The issue isn't the AI. It's the prompt. A vague prompt produces vague output. A structured prompt produces structured output. So I started building prompts that enforce the structure, the verification, and the traceability that finance work requires.
One prompt turned into ten. Ten turned into fifty. Fifty turned into a library.
What Makes These Different
These aren't one-liners. Every prompt in the library is built on a 13-section professional framework that includes:
- Role definition - the AI operates as a specific type of financial analyst, not a general assistant
- SuiteQL queries - pre-built queries to pull the right data from NetSuite
- Analysis methodology - a defined approach to the analysis, not "figure it out"
- Output structure - formatted sections with executive summary, detailed findings, and recommendations
- Verification tests - built-in checks that catch calculation errors, missing data, and inconsistencies
- Non-hallucination safeguards - explicit instructions that prevent the AI from fabricating numbers, trends, or conclusions
Paste one into Claude or ChatGPT with your NetSuite data and you get an executive-ready analysis in minutes. Not a rough draft that needs an hour of cleanup. A finished deliverable.

How to Use Them
Step 1: Pick a prompt from the category that matches your current task.
Step 2: Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, or any capable AI model as the system prompt (or at the start of a new conversation).
Step 3: Provide your NetSuite data. The prompt includes the SuiteQL queries you need to pull the right data. Export the results and paste them in, or connect through the NetSuite AI Connector.
Step 4: Review the output. The verification tests built into each prompt will flag calculation errors and data gaps. The non-hallucination safeguards mean the AI will tell you when it doesn't have enough data rather than filling the gap with fiction.
The prompts work with any AI model, but I recommend Claude Sonnet/Opus or GPT-4 for best results.
Who This Is For
The library is designed for NetSuite finance professionals who want to use AI for financial analysis but need the output to be trustworthy. Controllers, FP&A analysts, CFOs, and finance consultants who are tired of cleaning up AI output that looks good but doesn't tie.
If you're already using AI with your NetSuite data, these prompts will make that work faster and more reliable. If you haven't started yet, this is a good place to begin.
Get the Library
The NetSuite AI Prompt Library is available now on Gumroad. 150 prompts, delivered as individual text files organized by category.
This is my first digital product, and I'm genuinely curious to hear how people use it. If you pick it up and find a prompt that saves you time on a close cycle or helps you build a board report in minutes instead of hours, I'd love to hear about it.
