The second beta release of EasyCalendar, an open source solution for generating data-driven calendars within FileMaker, is now available.
This release addresses a few bugs that had been reported with the initial beta. In particular, I've added code that helps prevent the $$display_date variable from being set incorrectly. ($$display_date is used by EasyCalendar to determine the date that the calendar should be based on.)
In addition, code has been added to help prevent an excessive number of records from being created during the calendar generation process. This is an attempt to help reduce record creation in cases where EasyCalendar is in an error state, possibly caused by date formatting issues.
Special thanks go out to Joel Shapiro for his assistance in helping track down the cause of some of the bugs in Beta 1.
