A few weeks ago, I wrote about my plans to re-launch DailyOrbit, the search engine that I originally launched back in 1997. (Yes, 19 years ago!) I'm happy to report that as of this morning, DailyOrbit is now back online: http://dailyorbit.com
What makes DailyOrbit different from the mainstream search engines is that instead of trying to index entire Web sites, DailyOrbit only indexes home pages. The idea is that a home page should be representative of the site itself.
DailyOrbit will never be as thorough as other search engines. However, when you search with DailyOrbit, you'll get fewer but more relevant results. With DailyOrbit, it's about quality, not quantity.
My goal with DailyOrbit is to provide relevant search results, deliver them quickly, and present them in a simple, uncluttered way. I hope you'll take a few minutes to check it out and let me know what you think.
